Immigrant Justice Now, formerly Families Belong Together // Familias Unidas, No Divididas encourages all US Senators, House Representatives, and other elected officials to stand up for immigrant justice by taking the following pledge.

Pledge for Immigrant Justice:

I pledge to defend the rights, dignity, and humane treatment of immigrant families and their children by:
  • Supporting legislation that fully prohibits the separation of children from their parents, regardless of immigration status, unless there has been a judicial determination that separation is in the best interests of the child;
  • Demanding justice for the victims of “zero tolerance” policies (including government-funded mental health care) and accountability for those responsible for family separation;
  • Supporting legislation that prohibits placing minors or adults in immigration detention unless there has been a judicial determination that the individual poses a risk to public health or safety and ensures the humane treatment of all detainees throughout the process of determining their status; and
  • Advocating for a clean DREAM Act and a clear, reasonable path to citizenship for all immigrants in the United States.
